They love interesting stories, not the comments or notes at the bottom of the page. When a book is boring, they yawn openly, without shame or worry of the authorities. They do not expect their favorite writer save humanity. Children know that this is not in his power. Only adults have such "childish illusions " says Isaac Singer.
