64. MY EXPERIENCE IN THE THERAPY OF RHYTHMIC MOVEMENT

My experience of Rhythmical Movement Therapy

live in Mexico and I have a 6 year old boy with a diagnosis of attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity. We had many problems in school (kindergarten sentences), no answer when you talk, do not listen.

When I was very small like a bullet would not stop jumping and running. Is very sensitive to every touch, do not consent to the comb, body cream, I dislike labels of the clothes and the clothing itself.

generally negative was a kid, did not follow instructions and did not obey. Everything was difficult dressing, bathing, going to the supermarket, visits, etc. He resented the noise and music. I had problems with other children, becomes aggressive in certain circumstances, is very impulsive (that to me is the hardest, as biting, hitting and can not measure the strength of their hands.) Not sleeping well, moved all night, sat, stood, wake up and gnashed his teeth. Very messy and careless their persons and things, every day lost his lunch at school. Not finish their tasks, all half, then changed activity.

started 5 months ago by rhythmic movement therapy. We started seeing small changes, but to me are significant, at first it was difficult to accept the exercises, it was not wanted and as directed, they made them.

began to pick up their toys and hear their
things. Slowly he followed instructions and accept the exercises, now when therapy starts to night, fast asleep and sleeps peacefully, has greatly improved the gnashing of teeth.

Now is interested in illuminating his books, alone, without my request, it does well, no longer off limits and most importantly, finish each drawing begins.

I take a short course summer school that will attend this year, I told them the problem to see if they could accept, he was treated and told me that looks like a normal child behaving well, followed instructions, obeyed not hurt anyone, work well.

was just a week may be that the days will notice symptoms, but no doubt you could tell everyone something, at first contact.

With what I have read and learned, I realized that my brothers, now adults, had symptoms of sensory problems and also started therapy and are better, but still a long way.

I think some people think, that the therapy is described as Magic and easy, but it is not, is MUCH WORK, AND MORE. It is the result of perseverance and patience. It is not giving up even if the child does not cooperate, little by little you will like. We exercise three times a day, at night I take 45 minutes. To get to the query traveled more than 6 hours, but worth it. I go to the city of Aguascalientes there is the doctor who gives the therapy. This is just the beginning of the results be long before you are discharged, I hope this story will encourage more mothers that as I was, with despair, sadness and frustration at the situation facing their child.

I hope to write again and tell them that and got through everything, this story continues ....

63. SOMETIMES THE ROAD IS LONG AND HARD

Hi

I have a 7 year old boy who has trouble concentrating and doing very Justito in the notes. (Come on, if not did something it was suspending)

all started when I called the school for tutoring, to say the teacher was very concerned about it was quite late pedro on the group, and that when he went to was pretty sparse. But that did not see a child with special educational needs (which will value the guidance team.) Yet the guidance team talk to me and told me they could not see the child until four months as many schools and this had came just one day a week. But not to worry because we had to take into account that the child is the month of December and assume that each time ripe fruit.

Then I took it and went to a psycho cabinet, in which some of the things that the child had difficulties were graph-perceptual visual-motor coordination. Then I report optometrist behavioral because I told a friend and agree many things about the child.

I got down to work and went to the optometrist comportameltal, he made another more comprehensive report concerning the vision and primitive reflexes and took out quite a bit (thank goodness that the child had nothing!) We got to do therapy without thinking. I did not think it was so slow and that cost me pelarme both with him to make, between the duties and therapy we spent every night without rest, luckily though slow have already seen some results, we have adopted 2 º Primary .- (with sufficient, but it passed),

Even after the effort so that we done by two, the teacher goes and tells me the therapy I'm doing this is not noticing anything.
short time we are still only 7 months I hope to get finished with more success as a child sometimes refuses to cooperate and work really hard for me to do it and do it well.

What we have not achieved even a little is that primitive reflexes exercises the child is going to stop to pee at night. and that we have not yet achieved even a little. Well

greetings to all, and I tell you better news as therapy progresses.

ROSA.

62. CHANGES IN FEEDING

wanted to tell you that while my son Aless (already has 6 years) with ADHD are not making an orthomolecular supplementation for 1 year and there are significant improvements in overall health and stress level has dropped so much (or rather tolerate it better.) I was almost old enough to have fewer infections, but the few that could have not appeared. I am happy with this approach because it is custom ... more or less what you need it ..
My loving greetings from Paraguay ...

Orthomolecular Medicine 61. IN THIS PROFESSION OF PARENTS SHOULD BE FORMED ...

Dear Friends @ s, at the request of my friend Rosina, I would like tod @ s share our experience with my son George, a charming child six years with Down Syndrome that not only strives to minimize the disadvantages of giftedness gene cause trisomy 21 in it, but also retains some primitive reflexes that block advanced neurological development and processing bad sensory inputs (vestibular and proprioceptive mainly).

Like all of us, we started with him a little lost and disoriented, but with plenty of motivation to make the most of it. After more than 3 years in early childhood through the City Social Services, we saw that Jorge was not moving really well in a pattern development "normal" for a child with Down syndrome. There was more, had a roof that did not see below the trisomy. Research and reading, we first with Doman (Vegakids). After an initial review with Charles and Victor were a little overwhelmed. After starting with George sensory and motor program, I began to read about Doman. The first thing I read was "* What do brain-injured child *". Really understand the work program, and everything that supports the reorganization neurofunctional really understood why so many things. I saw it so interesting that I started reading several books by Glenn Doman, one of the most interesting "* How to teach your baby to be physically good *". I believe this is the foundation that underpins all the stimulation that is practiced today, is published or any method is based.

One year we did to Jorge about the Berard Auditory Rehabilitation (Victor Estalayo), giving good results (mainly to tolerate the noise). Jorge

advanced, but very very slowly, continued to burden "something", which hampered its development. So, I continued searching, researching and reading, until I found the fabulous blog of Rosina, with huge difference ... the best consultant for our children!. It was then when I went to in the complicated world full of stimulation itself, primitive reflexes, sensory dysfunction, etc. I read the book * Sally Goddard * about "* Reflection, learning and behavior *", checking how many reflections kept my son George, and how they prevented postural reflexes acquired and successfully advance to more sophisticated neurological levels. I also noticed how, since the primary or early childhood development, programs are carried out are aimed at the cortex, when the child still has some difficulties at subcortical (limbic and reptilian mainly brainstem and medulla oblongata) that work is needed before, because of not prioritizing in this way, we are not efficient with our work. After visiting Eva Rodriguez in Madrid, it confirmed to us that George kept reflexes, and we proposed a work plan with him through the Rhythmic Movement Therapy * *.

* Later I read Jean Ayres *, and his wonderful book "* The Sensory Integration and the Child *". It was then I realized that everything fit, the primary reflections are due to the brainstem and their lack of cortical involvement, and postural reflexes, motor planning and sensory processing. The Sensory Integration * * gave answers to many questions and symptoms seen in George, from walking on tiptoe, nail trimming rejection, rejection haircut, compulsive form, etc. Interestingly primitive reflexes and sensory integration as two streams that complement, not two blocks watertight and exclusive. TMR actually works not only to and from the reptilian brain, Sensory Integration and the limbic system. I believe that the interconnections between the three great systems of the brain occur with both therapies, and therefore I believe we can and must work together, it is very often the child has underlying reflexes that prevent proper functioning in postural level. Like any good

professional parents in this profession must continue to form, and thus I came to osteopathy, Padova and biomedical treatments. * Osteopathy * improved the tension in the frontal lobe that Jorge held, getting destensionar the meninges, enhancing relationships, frustrations, etc. In this therapy, I was surprised one of its foundations, "/ structure governs function /", on the contrary to the philosophy of Doman, who says that "/ function determines the structure /" (Lamarck). Once again you can see how both theories are completely true, as a thrust in the suture of the parietal and frontal bones can cause symptoms and CNS damage, as a program of stimulation causes a greater number of synaptic connections and improve the functioning of the CNS. Teresa Feliu

taught me what the Method * * Padovan, and how it could work with Jorge Neurofunctional Reorganization. Movements of legs, arms, swing, orofacial, etc. through a sequenced program, supported in songs and poems, succeeds in giving patterns of neuromotor logical development of the child.

Today, after a long journey, we have a proper job with George. Worked with him on alternate days Doman modified with TMR, and Padovan with some sensory integration. *Su sistema inmune debilitado como consecuencia de infecciones respiratorias recurrentes tratados con antibióticos, intestino permeable con filtración de péptidos actuando como morfinatos, risa borracha (Cándida), episodios de estreñimientos y diarreas, irritabilidad (Clostridium), and so on, we confirmed that we were on to the taproot that sustains the whole tree. Improving your metabolism
(trace, feeding intolerance, probiotics, DHA, etc.) Improved the physiological environment necessary to maximize the effectiveness of all methods and therapies that worked with him. Currently working on this line and the results are satisfactory
. Each child brings their own genetic code that leads their neurological development, work to "modify" as far as possible the functioning and efficiency of your nervous system, helping along the way, remove obstacles, or at least lowering the height of these. Each child responds differently, but as parents, we know that working in this way we are working on the right track.
