This year we published the 50 th. BARBUCHIN edition, the book most widely read children's literature in Guatemala and Central America. Judith Arms, choreographer and editor, is celebrating this occasion with a special edition that brings tabs, an improved design and a CD containing 20 stories of the original edition, the stories are dramatized, have effects Sound and 5 of them are put to music. The drama was handled by the unforgettable radio drama child "Marta Bolaños de Prado" and involved a dozen voices, some of children. The music is to music stories of Fatima Gerendas creation of only 13, and granddaughter of Mr. Daniel Armas. Barbuchín was first published in 1940 and well over a million copies have been sold since that date. The first edition was published in black and white, but after the Salvadoran artist Antonio Pineda Coto put the beautiful color illustrations by Enrique de León Cabrera.
