World Book Day World Book Day

Aracely, reading to a kindergarten girl.

Under of the celebrations of World Book Day, we celebrate today, on 20 April held the launch of National Reading Program "A reading is said" in Guatemala, which was held in the middle of speeches from the Minister Education, graduate Dennis Alonzo, President of the Republic, Álvaro Colom engineer and writer Ana María Rodas, director of the National Printing Office, as well as having the presence of the diplomatic corps accredited to the country and representatives of national and international cooperation agencies, students of all grades of the national education system and the general public.
This program means a lot for Guatemalans and the country, since as stated by the writer José Carlos Mainer in an interview: " The literature is not a free country. It's something that expresses their media-specific, language-building complex in the world: in short, is a culture . " -------------------------------
